It’s a little after five o clock p.m. and these two kite boarders are taking full advantage of the March weather along the shores of Anna Maria Island on this Thursday evening. The temperature is about eighty degrees and an excellent off shore breeze makes perfect conditions to do anything outside, especially windsurfing and kite boarding. Anna Maria Island has two libraries, Tingley Memorial Library located in Bradenton Beach and The Island Branch Public Library located in holmes Beach.
Bay Front Park on Anna Maria Island offers covered tables, grills, public restrooms, and a playground on the beach for children.
Manatee Public Beach on Anna Maria Island has free parking, picnic tables, public restrooms, a playground on the beach for children, a fishing pier, a café right on the beach with food and drinks, and a lifeguard on duty.
Soccer is one of the many activities available at the Anna Maria Island Community Center. Sports, Classes and Activities are all available to vacationers, as well as full time Islanders, on Anna Maria.
The 18 hole miniature golf course The “Fish hole” in Bradenton Beach is a great place for the entire family. Have fun with the kids and enjoy the wonderful setting and a little local history and fishing education.
