Bean Point vacation rentals are highly sought after due to their location at the northernmost tip of Anna Maria Island, on or near miles of beach and quaint Anna Maria City shops and restaurants. This location is desired by repeat visitors to our small island, but it’s not widely known as a tourist destination, which means there are some of the best beachfront rentals in this area. Parking is limited and strictly enforced, so staying on Bean Point is your best bet - you don’t have to try to find parking nearby!
The reality is - if you know - you know.
The sunsets from Bean Point are unparalleled. You can walk for miles and miles down either side of our island. This is where the turquoise blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico meet the waters of Tampa Bay. There’s a sandbar just off the beach you can wade to, and during low tide, you can hunt seashells to your heart’s content. You’ll have views out to sea, and spectacular views of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge over the bay.
Island Real Estate has multiple properties in or adjacent to Bean Point that fit every size family and budget - but they book up fast, so it’s imperative that you book as soon as you can!
Bean Point could possibly be the hidden gem of Anna Maria Island. Although plenty of tourists and residents pass through, many do not choose Bean Point as their vacation destination. This makes it the perfect place to spend a quiet vacation on a pristine natural beach and watch the breathtaking sunsets. Bean Point beach rentals never disappoint our clients.
Bean Point is one of the top places to spot dolphins and other aquatic wildlife without having to be elbow to elbow with other onlookers. You may have to go off the beaten path a bit to reach this scenic and historic beach location on Anna Maria Island, but the trip is well worth it every time. The small walk to the beach is what keeps it hidden, and helps keep the massive crowds at bay.
Bean Point is not only a magnificent beach, but it also has a huge historical background as well. The founder of the island, George Emerson Bean, claimed Bean Point for his 160-acre homestead in 1892. He died in 1898 but left it to his son to plan out building the city of Anna Maria. Bean’s son partnered with Charles Roser, who just so happened to be a wealthy real estate developer. Together they built the streets, sewer system, homes, schools, and so much more. Little did they know they would create an environment that would later be a hotspot for tourists from all over the world. They never expected that one day Bean Point would be a prime location for some of the best Bean Point vacation rentals.
Visit The Bean Homestead - The Bean Point Homestead is still there for tourists and residents to visit. None of the original structures remain, but the area is still chock-full of history, and to this day remains one of the most scenic areas on the island. There is nothing in the way to block the majestic sunsets over the vast blue ocean.
Wildlife Watching - Bean Point is probably the best place on Anna Maria Island to view the wildlife. The lack of crowds and obstructions make it very easy to see dolphins surfacing, birds fishing, and even sea turtles. There are over 20 species of bird that call this place home, as well as many sea and land animals.
Fishing - Bean Point has some of the best fishing AMI has to offer. With many local fishing guides providing fishing trips to tourists, Bean Point tends to be a quiet peaceful place to fish. Many different types of fish can be caught, and it’s only a short walk back to the vacation rental if you choose to take them home for dinner.
"My large family rented a home on Anna Maria over the Christmas holiday. This was our first time at Anna Maria. Our home was cleaned and well maintained. We appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of Island Real Estate before our arrival and at check-in. They called in a few times to ensure our vacation was going smoothly and that all was well. We were quite impressed! I would highly recommend their company in the future."
