Real Estate Services

Island Real Estate is one of the oldest real estate offices on Anna Maria Island. Patricia Hendricks founded her brokerage in 1970 with Sis Dudley under the name of Dudley Real Estate. In later years, it was Patricia Hendricks Real Estate and then Hendricks Real Estate. Her sale of the business in 1990 and the subsequent name change to Island Real Estate in August 1991 were merely the latest steps in the continual effort to professionally serve the community.  December 2011, Island Real Estate acquired Betsy Hills Real Estate located in Anna Maria City, Anna Maria Island. Betsy Hills Real Estate had a long standing history of serving both real estate services and the local community. As most locals know and now you can see from our brief history lesson, for more than 50 years it has been a top priority for Island Real Estate to specialize in Anna Maria Island properties in a competent and progressive manner. Vacation Rental Services

Island Real Estate Vacations is the newly revamped rental division of Island Real Estate.  Previously, Island Real Estate grew our Anna Maria Island vacation rentals to over 300 properties before selling the vacation rental management division in 2017.  In January 2020, Island Real Estate returned to vacation rental management at the urging of our dedicated real estate sales customers, previous vacation rental owners and past rental guests who we have serviced for more than 20 years. Larry received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. Previous Executive Leadership experience with General Motors, General Electric and Precision Castparts Corporation has prepared him well for his leadership position as Broker/Co-Owner of Island Real Estate. Larry has owned Anna Maria Island investment property while residing in Europe, New England, Ohio, Iowa, and Colorado. The first-hand experience as an absentee owner gives him a unique perspective of all the concerns involved with the purchase and management of a resort property. Island Real Estate Vacations welcomed Kacey back February 2020 as our Vacation Rental Revenue Manager. As the Revenue Manager, Kacey manages the day to day rate yield operations for our vacation rental bookings with the primary goal of maximizing rental revenue for Owners. Kacey originally started with Island Real Estate (IRE) January 1999. During Kacey’s 23 years with IRE she progressively excelled to higher leadership roles and took on many duties across all departments to include assisting Rental Owners, Vacation Rental Guests, Real Estate Sales Clients and Community Leaders. Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) welcomed Jimmy back April 2020 as our Property Operations Manager and Licensed Building Contractor. As the Property Operations Manager, Jimmy oversees the vacation properties on the IREV rental program responsible for managing the appropriate team members to include Property Technicians, Property Dispatcher(s), and Lead Property Inspectors. As the Property Manager, Jimmy is also the key point of contact for owners on the IREV rental program by responding to owner property concerns and acting as the liaison between the owner and IREV’s internal departments. Jimmy was previously with Island Real Estate (IRE) for 4 years starting in 2012 as the Maintenance Manager overseeing the IRE Maintenance Technicians and the Maintenance Dispatch Team. During his time at Island Real Estate Jimmy earned the highest level of respect from Owners and staff and was a valued member of our Operations team. Ashley started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in November 2020 as our Housekeeping & Laundry Facility Manager for Vacation Rentals reporting to Jodi Nichols to oversee Housekeeping and Laundry. Prior to working for IREV, Ashley was the Lead Housekeeper at Vacasa managing the cleaners to include scheduling and ordering supplies, guest and owner correspondence, and working with the laundry lead to ensure bags were properly made and ready for arrivals for two rental companies and several contract cleaners. Ashley also has her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and is part of the NOAA Cooperative Shark Tagging Program on Anna Maria Island and has previous work experience interning at Mote Marine and as a Visiting Scholar at Bimini Biological Field Station in Bimini, Bahamas. George Major

George started with IREV on Monday April 19, 2021 as the Vacation Rental Manager (VRM) to oversee the Guest Services/Reservations department and the Vacation Rental Specialists. The VRM is to provide guests and owners with Five Star Service with leadership capability to handle in-house guest requests, issues or concerns along with developing positive guest relations. George will manage all aspects of the Guest Services/Reservations department, handle conflict resolution, monitor the day-to-day activities of all Vacation Rental Specialists, and ensure that all new staff is properly trained on TRACK and Guest Service/Reservation procedures. Prior to working for IREV, George had progressive growth working for Marriott Hotels and Holiday Inn Express starting in Housekeeping and working his way up to Assistant General Manager to Front Office Manager/Sales Coordinator to his current role as General Manager. With over 7 years of management experience in hospitality, George understands the importance of 100% guest satisfaction and doing what it takes to get the job done. In his current role, George is proud to say that his hotel passed their Brand Standard QA Inspections through hands-on team training and with him personally ensuring all brand standards for the hotel were met daily. Dan Franz

Dan started with IREV July 2021 as the HSKP/Laundry Facility Supervisor reporting to Ashley. Dan with help Ashley oversee the Laundry Facility and will lead property inspection for Housekeeping. Dan is originally from Ohio and moved to Bradenton 25 years ago to get away from the snow! Dan brings to IREV 20 years experience working in home maintenance and repair industry and 15+ years experience in vacation rental management and maintenance. Some of you may remember Dan from working with him at Vacasa. Dan started with Vacasa in 2018 and held several positions to include Maintenance Tech, Local Operations Manager/Owner Relations Manager, Maintenance Manager and Hiring Manager. Most recently, Dan worked for Anna Maria Island Accommodations as the Maintenance/Vendor Coordinator overseeing the assignment of maintenance tickets and coordinating outside vendor repairs. In addition, he worked with Owners to facilitate owner requested repairs. Andrew started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) on March 1, 2021 as the HOA Manager for IRE association properties reporting to Larry Chatt. Andrew is a Florida native from Bradenton. Andrew previously worked for IRE from 2012 until IRE sold to Vacasa in 2017. During his time at IRE Andrew wore many hats from IT to Marketing to MAINT Supervisor. Andrew remained on with Vacasa until the pandemic hit and then worked for AMV until starting at IREV. Andrew has a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering and Business. Tanesha Rayner started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) on Monday February 14, 2022 as a Owner Relations Manager (ORM) reporting to Jodi Nichols. The ORM is the main point of contact for property owners on the IREV vacation rental program responding to owner concerns and acting as the liaison between the owner and IREV’s internal departments. This position supports the IREV Operations department and retention efforts by providing comprehensive assistance, support, and interactive communications and services to our current owners. The ORM ensures all assigned vacation rental properties are in good condition and meet IREV standards for rental program participation. This position will maintain open communication between Owner and Operations and will work in conjunction with Maintenance, Vacation Rental Specialists, and Housekeeping. Island Real Estate Vacations welcomed Lewis back April 2020 as our Senior Property Technician. As the Senior Property Technician, Lewis’ main duties are to perform minor maintenance repairs and other maintenance related tasks for IREV. As a member of our design team, Lewis will also assist with IREV interior design projects and renovations. Island Lewis originally started with Island Real Estate (IRE) in January 2013 as a Maintenance Technician. During his 5 years with IRE, Lewis showed his expertise through proven results and quickly progressed to become our Senior Project Technician for Owner Relations. Prior to working for IRE, Lewis worked with his dad renovating residential properties and later utilized that knowledge to team up with Jodi Nichols to renovate and update over 40 rental properties on Anna Maria Island. He is one of the top technicians working on the island today and few have the experience he does. Some of Lewis’ skills include but not limited to, residential construction, pool and spa, electrical, plumbing, handyman service and a keen eye for detail.

Tiffany Miles


Tiffany (Tiff) started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in June 2020 as a Vacation Rental Specialist and in 2022 was promoted to Property Operations Coordinator. In this role, Tiff will help with property inspections, onboarding, and property upgrades. Tiff previously worked for Island Real Estate during the summer when she was in high school helping with filing. Briana started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in June 2021 as a Vacation Rental Specialist for Vacation Rentals and in 2022 was promoted to Vacation Rental Supervisor. Briana will be part of our team that books our vacation rental properties and who assists in-house rental guests with their requests. Prior to working for IREV, Briana has been a Household Assistant and Nanny to a local family for the past 9 years. During her time there, Briana had several responsibilities to include but not limited to: managing family events, supervising HSKP and MAINT staff, communicating with individuals and businesses on the families behalf, purchasing for the family/household, maintaining budgets and accounts and any other daily responsibilities as needed. Kellee Krestan started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) on Monday February 7, 2022 as a Vacation Rental Specialist / Real Estate Assistant reporting to George Major. Kellee will be part of our team that books our vacation rental properties and who assists in-house rental guests with their requests. She will work at the Marina Drive office and will assist with walk-ins for Vacation Rental and Real Estate. Kellee is originally from Michigan and moved to Florida after graduating high school in the late 80’s and has been living here on AMI for over 20 years! Prior to working for Island Real Estate Vacations, Kellee was the Owner Relations Manager at Vacasa AMI and has over 16 years working in the vacation rental industry. Kellee has held a variety of roles over the years from Resort Manager & Group Coordinator to HSKP & MAINT Supervisor to Assistant Property Manager to Guest Services Agent to Guest Services Supervisor and to her most recent role as Owner Relations Manager. Frank started with IREV on Monday May 10, 2021 as a Vacation Rental Specialist/Real Estate Office Assistant reporting to George. Frank will train for his first month at our East Bay office and then will work from Marina. During the week Frank will work for IREV vacation rentals and on Fridays and Saturdays he will be at the front desk for IRE Real Estate Office in addition to IREV rentals. Frank is originally from Long Island, New York where he lived until November 2020 when he moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine! He currently lives in Bradenton with his dog. Frank has a Business Degree as well as his New York Real Estate License. Mitch started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in May 2020 as our Property Operations Technician for Vacation Rentals reporting Jimmy Peters. As a Property Operations Technician, Mitch’s main duties are to perform minor maintenance repairs and other maintenance related tasks for Island Real Estate Vacations. Prior to working for IREV, Mitch worked for Vacasa as a Maintenance Technician for the last two years. Mitch is originally from Chicago where he worked as an Engineer for 18 years, and then 16 years at an apartment complex in Sarasota.

Don started with IREV on Monday May 10, 2021 as a Maintenance Technician reporting to Jimmy to handle daily maintenance work orders and monthly maintenance tasks for IREV vacation rental properties. Don is originally Rockwood, MI and moved to Florida in 1984 to live with his sister. He currently lives in Bradenton. Prior to working for IREV, Don worked for the City of Holmes Beach since 2011, first as a Mechanic then as Project Coordinator and then as his final role of MAINT Technician. Prior to that, Don was the owner/operator of Don’s Small Engine Repair in Holmes Beach from January 1990 to June 2011.

Steven Foley started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) on Monday January 31, 2022 as a Maintenance Technician reporting to Jimmy Peters to handle daily maintenance work orders and monthly maintenance tasks for IREV vacation rental properties. Steven is a Florida LOCAL born and raised in Bradenton! Prior to working for Island Real Estate Steven worked for AMV as a MAINT Tech. He also previously worked in construction.

Glenda Vazquez


Glenda Vazquez started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in February 2021 as a Laundry Attendant to work in our new laundry facility reporting to Ashley. Glenda is originally from Havana, Cuba and moved to Miami before moving to Bradenton to be closer to family. She is bilingual and speaks English and Spanish. Prior to working for IREV, Glenda was an inspector for a bullet factory and also has previous laundry experience.

Victoria Parets


Victoria Parets started with Island Real Estate Vacations (IREV) in February 2021 as a Laundry Attendant to work in our new laundry facility reporting to Ashley. Victoria is originally from Havana, Cuba and currently lives in Bradenton. She speaks Spanish, little to no English. Prior to working for IREV, Victoria was a cashier at a grocery store and also has previous laundry experience.

Laundry Team

The Island Real Estate laundry team cleans terry and bed linens for Island Real Estate Vacations as well as several other vacation rental companies on Anna Maria Island.  Their reputation for quality has driven demand from customers large and small.  We utilize the best terry for our towels providing pool towels, bath towels, bath mat towels, hand towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels.
