The Incredible Hulk Coaster®

The Incredible Hulk Coaster®

One of the big attractions at Universal Studios Orlando is The Incredible Hulk Coaster® found inside Islands of Adventure!

Upon entering the queue for the roller coaster you are surrounded by the lab equipment of Bruce Banner. As a volunteer for his experiment you await your turn to help him solve how to reverse the effects that caused him to become the Hulk. You can take in the story of the Hulk on the many conveniently placed monitors, as well as the generator, gamma core, and towers of power while listening to or watching through the windows as the roller coaster rips past.

You can visit Olivander’s Wand Shop to get your very own wand! However, you may have some difficulty getting the spells down. I’m still yet to figure out how to get the broom to magically sweep on its own or the dishes to wash themselves.

Anna Maria Island Named No. 4 Island by Tripadvisor

Anna Maria Island Named No. 4 Island by Tripadvisor

In a recent article posted by USA Today, TripAdvisor.com (the web’s leading travel review site) ranked the top 10 islands to visit both in the United States and internationally.  The rankings were created by a unique algorithm established by TripAdvisor, which took into account user reviews from travelers who have stayed at the island.

When the dust had settled, Anna Maria Island was ranked No. 4 among all U.S. islands.  AMI beat world-famous destinations such as Maui, Hawaii’s Big Islannd, and Key West.

How I Would Spend My Day on Anna Maria Island!

How I Would Spend My Day on Anna Maria Island!

So here’s what I would do if I wasn’t working today! I would drive past my office in Holmes Beach and head straight to Bay Front Park in Anna Maria, unload my bicycle and go for a ride. As my stomach starts to grumble with hunger I would stop at the Rod N Reel Pier for some breakfast. Remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day even if you’re eating bacon, eggs, & home fries at your favorite island restaurant.

After breakfast it’s time for a little adventure so I would go see my friends at Yolo Parasail for a relaxing boat ride and sky high view of Anna Maria Island. If you have never been parasailing off the coast of Anna Maria Island you should put it on your to do list!

As the morning comes to an end and the afternoon is just about to begin I would go soak up some rays on Holmes Beach for a couple of hours while looking at the amazing pictures I took from my parasailing adventure. If you are at one of the public beaches you can enjoy some ice cream too.

Now it’s time to go see my good friends at Segs By The Sea in Bradenton Beach for a SEGWAY tour. We start our tour on Bridge Street and head to the beach. Travelling south along the paved beach path through Coquina Beach and up over the Longboat Key Bridge and back. If you have never been on a SEGWAY before don’t worry one of the fabulous tour guides will teach you how to ride, and in about five minutes you will be comfortable and confident on a SEGWAY.

As the Sun is setting on our return trip to Bridge Street the day is almost over but the night is just beginning and now I’m hungry once again. In the mood for good food and live music I head just a couple of doors down to The Blue Marlin where I meet friends and family for diner & drinks. The Blue Marlin is famous for their fresh fish & seafood that they purchase daily from local seafood markets. I’m not the biggest seafood lover but absolutely love the burgers, steak sandwich, and of course ice cold beer outside in the Trap Yard where on the weekends you can enjoy live entertainment from local musicians.

So that’s what I would do if I wasn’t working in paradise today… But I am working today at Island Real Estate on Anna Maria Island and would like to get you here too!

Tell us your story on facebook title it my perfect day on Anna Maria Island and let us know what you did or would do… “Remember life’s better on the beach!”

Siesta Key Activities

Siesta Key Activities

The main attraction of Siesta Key is the beach! In 2011 it was rated the #1 beach in America by Dr. Beach! It consistently ranks in the top 10 beaches of America, and the water is nearly always pristine and refreshing! The white sand is as soft as could be and also keeps the ground cooler so that you will not burn your feet walking along the miles of shore.  There are plenty of Siesta Key Activities, take a day to lay out and tan, splash in the water, or build a sand castle. You can also grab some food, drinks, and snacks from the snack bar under the pavilion located towards the center of the main parking lot.

Every Sunday the Siesta Key Drum Circle comes to Siesta Key as well playing from a couple hours before sunset on into the night!

Looking for something to do on Siesta Key before returning to Anna Maria Island? Here are a couple of our favorite restaurants and activities to do in the Sarasota area!
