WHAT: Prepare your floats! Ready your lawn chairs! Candy and beads everywhere! Merry Christmas to Anna Maria Island, it’s the annual Christmas Parade!
Watch out for that ship…. follow the Anna Maria Island Privateers to SANTA!
On Saturday, December 7, 2013, the parade begins at 10am on the east end of Pine Avenue traveling from the staging area at Bayfront Park, through the city of Anna Maria. From there, the parade continues south through Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, concluding at Coquina Beach. Upon arrival at Coquina Beach, Santa’s Open House welcomes the children of the island, both visitors and islanders alike. The Jolly Old Man himself will be there to hand out gifts to the children. Kids may also enjoy refreshments of hot dogs and sodas during their visit with Santa Claus.
Whether watching from the side of the road or riding in a float, the Anna Maria Island Christmas Parade is a favorite island tradition. This island event is interactive, so kids remember to bring a bag and gather your loot!
Great things often come in small packages. Such is the case with Dips Ice Cream located at 9801 Gulf Dr in Anna Maria, FL. The entire store is about the size of a walk-in pantry, but it’s teeming with a vast assortment of treats capable of getting adults and children of all sizes buzzing.
Adults will enjoy the many throwback candies, including bottle caps, wax lips and jaw breakers. Kids will like the dotted ice cream pellets and general abundance of delicious refined sugar. Visit our information page on Dips Ice Cream.

This information page provides Anna Maria Island top ten ice cream shops. Well summer is here once again! Nothing is better than spending a day on the beach soaking up the warm Florida Sun, and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. One of my favorite things to do after a day at the beach, and one of the best ways to cool down during the summer heat on Anna Maria Island is to grab an ice cream treat. So I spent the day traveling the Island in search of the best ice cream and candy treats in the area.
The luck of the Irish will be right here on Anna Maria Island this Sunday March 14th for all in attendance at The Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade. The St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 4pm at the outdoor plaza in Holmes Beach on the corner of Gulf Drive and Marina Drive.
