Finally we got GOOD NEWS from BP today! Oil from its broken well has stopped gushing into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time since April. After installing the capping stack on the MC252 well tests were underway to close all valves in an experiment to stop the oil. And YES, they were SUCCESSFUL! BP announced at a news briefing that oil stopped flowing into the water at 2:25 p.m. CDT today July 15th, 2010.
