Anna Maria Island – Like Yoga? Love the beach? Get down to Bradenton Beach for donation based free Yoga classes. Shown to counteract inflexibility, tone and strengthen the body, and invite a sensation of peace into the mind, Yoga is only made better when it is done on the beach.
Each class lasts about 30 minutes and complimentary tea is made available at ALUNA Wellness after the session to allow time to calm down and meet each other. Classes are weather permitting, so call 941-778-8400 if you are unsure of the weather. Parking is available at ALÚNA or on 23rd St. Class will take place across the street from ALÚNA. 2219 Gulf Dr. N. Bradenton Beach, FL Classes are taught by certified yoga teacher, Amanda Curl.
The next classes are taking place on Saturday December 19th, Thursday December 26th, Saturday December 28th and January 2nd. Thursday classes are at 5:00 pm, Saturdays are at 8:30 am.

It requires balance and tones your muscles while you take in the sites and enjoy the local marine habitat – you may even spot a few manatees or dolphins while on the water! You can paddle board on the beautiful gulf of Mexico with AMI Paddle Boarding, or paddle through the serene mangrove tunnels in Robinson Preserve (highly recommended for beginners) with the Surfer Bus.

The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis is a Fun and Festive way to kick off your holiday season! The race begins at 7pm on December 7th on 12th St in Bradenton along Old Main Street. Wear a holiday themed costume and put bells on your shoelaces. Run or Walk the 5K, or sign up for the 1 mile Fun Walk. All proceeds go to the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis Foundation.

Time to lace up and trot on over to join the 14th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot November 22, 2012! Race starts at 8am at the DeSoto National Memorial Park located at the end of 75th St NW. (directions below). The Bradenton Runners Club does not charge a race admission for the Trot but asks that everyone please bring a non-perishable food items for the Manatee County Food Bank/Meals on Wheels.

Directions: From I-75, take exit 220 and head West on SR64. From US41 or US301, travel to SR64 / Manatee Ave W and head West to 75th Street West. From 75th St W, go North until you reach the De Soto Park (at the end of 75th St NW).
