If you have visited our wonderful little island of Anna Maria, then you have probably been to Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach. If you haven’t, then you’re missing out on a lot!
Especially if you are on the Island anytime between November and April. Because that is when the Bridge Street Market takes place!
Bridge Street Market is held from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm every Sunday in November, through April. The market is located at 107 Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach. Visit your favorite vendors and enjoy fantastic food, beautiful art and jewelry, great local musicians, fresh produce, and much more!
Enjoy arts, crafts, local food, and live music from 5pm – 10pm at Anna Maria Island Concerts in the Park on Friday October 26th at the Holmes Beach City Field. Concerts in the park will benefit Camelot Community Care a Manatee County therapeutic foster home for children. Update: while there are many events in the Holmes Beach field the Anna Maria Island Concerts in the Park are no longer being held on a regular basis as of 2015.

• Open Jam Session with local musicians from 5pm – 7pm
• Shotgun Justice 7:30pm – 10pm
Sarasota, Florida is a great small city to visit while vacationing on Anna Maria Island. Sarasota has fantastic arts, festivals, shopping, restaurants, culture, and things to do. This page provides Sarasota area information and things to do.
Right at the top of the list is the Mable and Ringling museums found in Sarasota. All of which are fairly close to the Sarasota Airport.
If you are looking for more night life than what Anna Maria Island has to offer then Sarasota is probably your best bet. Sarasota has a fabulous night life with plenty of things to do. Sarasota is rich with arts and culture and it shows through to their restaurants, bars and night life. A perfect example is the Ceviche Tapas restaurant and Bar in old town Sarasota. The restaurant and bar building is rich with Spanish decor and architecture. Another great Sarasota bar is Evie’s Tavern located in downtown Sarasota. Don’t forget Esca’s restaurant and bar. Another favorite of ours is the Horse Feathers Grill and Lounge.
The market is open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. but some vendors get there early and stay a little later. If you are coming from Bradenton go west on Cortez Road over the bridge onto Anna Maria Island, make a left hand turn at the stop light onto Gulf Drive, you will see bridge street on your left about a quarter of a mile down the road.
