The free trolley comes as far north as Pine Avenue and runs all the way down to Bradenton Beach on the southern end of seven mile long Anna Maria Island. The trolley runs about every 20 minutes and passes almost everything on the island.

The rental was beautiful and we loved the location! The beach was amazing. Instructions about the door alarms would have been helpful. Also, the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, but we didn't know so ended up buying a lot of items we didn't need because that information was never provided to us. Having a hot tub and pool was a big plus. We loved our stay! Thanks!

enjoyed this cozy home
Our family of 2 adults & 2 teens really enjoyed this cozy home during our stay on Anna Maria Island. The trees and landscaping make it very private. The access to the beach was so close we visited the beach multiple times a day. Loved the quiet feel of the location, yet walking distance to donut shop, tacos and a handful of restaurants. Beds were comfortable and pool and hottub perfect.

Very pleased with our stay
This was our 3rd time visiting Anna Maria Island and we were very pleased with Over the Moon. It was directly across the street from beach access which makes it so much easier than having a long walk or cart ride with beach supplies. It was well equipped with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach towels. The backyard is quite the oasis, lined with large tropical trees and a very nice sized pool. As an added bonus, there's an outdoor shower, great for washing off after the beach (tip: it's on the left side of the house; we didn't discover it until late in our trip). Overall, I'd rate the place 5 out of 5, and very likely we'll return for another stay.

A little piece of paradise
We loved this cute little bungalow house and would stay there again! While it’s an older property, it’s been significantly updated and is very nicely decorated. It worked fairly well for our family of 5. It is a perfect location for heading down to the beach as there are 2 convenient beach access points right across the street. We saw manatees daily as well as a sting ray and found some sand dollars. There were turtle nests marked all over too. It’s an amazingly gorgeous and clean beach! The pool was great to have and the hot tub was wonderful too. It was an easy golf cart ride to anywhere on the N end of the island. It’s a bit far from Publix, but you can get there by cart and there are also local market options with essentials. There is parking for 2 vehicles right in front of the unit and it’s shaded, which was nice for the golf cart so the seats didn’t get too hot. Likes: Plenty of towels/linens/extra blankets Location- close to beach and restaurants etc can be walked/golf carted to Pool/spa Extremely clean property Old bungalow feel with new coastal decor and renovation Wish We Knew/Thought About: -We were aware of the bedroom set up, so it’s totally our fault, but the third bedroom with the daybed would be so much nicer with a sliding barn door or arrangement other than sheer curtains. -There are A LOT of mosquitos in the backyard. Bring bug spray! We also bought our own citronella candles and burned them day and night when out there and they were still awful. -the law is that they must keep alarms on all of the doors going out to the pool. You have to constantly bypass it by pushing a button and rushing in/out. It’s like that everywhere, but a nice to know! -The kitchen is fairly well stocked, but some of the items are worn out/falling apart. Definitely not the worst I’ve seen in a rental though! -the AC has trouble keeping up when it’s really hot. It got pretty hot, but cooled off after sunset. -Uber/Lyft is happy to bring you TO Anna Maria, but we had a heck of a time trying to get out after our stay. There were no cars available in any category and we were sitting outside the rental with all of our luggage and 3 kids in 90+ degree heat. Usually we rent a car, but we barely used it last time bc we always get a golf cart, so we just did the cart and really took some time to finally get drivers to accept our ride request. Overall, it was a really nice stay and we weren’t ready to leave!

Posted: 05/03/2021A:Unfortunately, Island Real Estate Vacations cannot guarantee there will be any beach chairs, umbrellas or toys at your vacation rental property. However, if upon arrival you find there are chairs, etc. then you are welcome to enjoy them. Some guests leave items behind and some owners will purchase an inventory of fun beach equipment a few times a year.
Too often these items get left behind on the beach, broken, etc. so there really is no way for us to know what is there from week to week. We suggest you check in, take a look around the property to see what is there that you would like to use and then if you feel you want something extra pick it up at a local shop or rent just about anything from Fun and More or Beach Bum’s (info below).
