Update 1PM 8/30: Good afternoon! Here is our 1pm update and current weather conditions from our rooftop webcam at Buena Vista on Anna Maria Island... I wish we had a clearer photo of the beach for you, but the camera is covered in salt spray. The bridges are still closed, so we still don't have access to Anna Maria Island or our rental properties. Current reports are showing lots of flooding across all areas of the island and continues to rain. Local authorities are advising everyone to stay in their homes until further notice. More updates to come! BE SAFE! Prayers for our beautiful island!

Update 11AM 8/29: Current weather conditions from our rooftop webcam at Buena Vista on Anna Maria Island. The 11am weather action update reported that Hurricane Idalia has strengthened to 85 mph max winds. No change to track or model data. As of right now, everything is still pretty quiet. Everyone, please take this time to prepare, and please be safe! Prayers for our beautiful island!
Update 2PM 8/28: Our offices will be CLOSED the remainder of today through WED. Our goal is to return on Thursday but that will depend on the storm and when we are allowed back on island. We will continue to communicate with you over the next few days so everyone is in the loop of what is going on. Please know that our team is in communication with each other and monitoring this storm. Once we are back on island, we will walk properties to access for damage and to put patio furniture back out. This will be a much longer process and everyone’s patience is appreciated. Thank you again for your understanding. We are in this together.

Update 12PM 8/28: Manatee County just ordered a mandatory evacuation for Anna Maria Island. Everyone needs to be off island by 2pm today which greatly limits our capabilities for hurricane prep today. Our team has been in the field for several hours already this morning and we are working as fast as we can to get to as many properties as possible before the required leave time. The reservations team is contacting all in-house guests to notify them as well as arriving guests since they will not be allowed to check-in until the evacuation has been lifted and properties have been walked which will be most likely be Friday, SEPT 1st. Hopefully, Thursday… I will continue to provide updates as I have them.

First Update 9AM 8/28: As of this morning, Monday 8/28, we now have a named storm in the Gulf, Tropical Storm Idalia, and looks to be heading our way. Of course, anything can happen in the next few days but so far it has stayed the course and hasn’t veered too far off from this projection. Today, our team will be out in the field to get started on prepping all vacant properties with the goal of having this completed by the end of the day. Our reservations team will be contacting all in-house guests this morning to update them and to have guests bring in or turnover any patio/pool furniture. We will help those who need it. The HOA team will handle our Association properties. It’s being reported that Idalia is expected to be a major hurricane by Wednesday. Our team will continue to monitor this storm and will provide updates to you as we have them.
