Saturday, August 6th we Joined Minto Communities for the 1st Annual Harbour Isle Farmer’s Market. We arrived just before 10am and the Farmers Market was in full swing, music from the Island Boys band was playing, and trolley tours to the model homes were running. The Farmer’s Market was held at Harbour Isle on Anna Maria Sound located on Manatee Avenue just before you go over the Manatee Bridge onto Anna Maria Island.
The Harbour Isle Farmer’s Market featured various vendors selling a mixture of organic and conventional fresh fruits and vegetables, take home foods, ready to eat foods, homemade and handcrafted products, art and much more! We had a chance to talk to some of these vendors and even try some of their products.
While visiting the Farmer’s Market, guests had the opportunity to tour 6 of the decorated home models that were priced from the $320’s.
My favorite booth at the Farmers Market was Matthews Wildlife Rescue where we meet Justin Mathews and a 12 foot Burmese python named Axel Rose. When I asked Justin how big the python was, he draped the huge python around my neck. Axel Rose the python was very friendly and I could feel the pure muscle of the python as he literally hung out with me. Justin also had several lizards that we got to look at up close. Take a look at the pictures below from the Farmers Market.
