Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island March Artist: Cheryl Jorgensen

Holmes Beach – The Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island is pleased to present watercolorist and teacher Cheryl Jorgensen as the featured artist for the month of March. There will be a reception for her at the Guild Gallery Friday, March 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The Gallery is located at 5414 Marina Drive in the Island Shopping Center, Holmes Beach.

Cheryl was born in Trinidad, then moved to Denmark, and finally to Florida. She began painting in oils but changed to watercolors, feeling that the flow and spontaneity of this medium, as well as the vibrant colors, best allowed her self expression. She has now been living and teaching in the area for ten years, and currently holds classes at the Crosspointe Fellowship on Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach.
