Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island January Student of the Month

Holmes Beach – The Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island is pleased to feature the artwork of Hunter Windham, age 17, who is a senior at Manatee High School and is the Artists’ Guild January student of the month. His mixed media painting is a multiple portrait, ‘ Lennon, Hendrix and Dylan,’ which will be displayed in our Gallery for the month of January. Hunter plans to pursue his interest in art although he is undecided on a career path. Recently he created an event . “A Night at the Museum”at the South Florida Museum where he is currently a docent. His art teacher is Jon Scott.

Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island December Art Student of the Month

Holmes Beach – During the school year the Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island exhibits the work of a Manatee County High School art student. This year the invitation has been extended to the teachers as well. It is with pleasure we present the work of Martin Vera, an eighteen year old Palmetto High School Senior who plans a career architecture at USF. His artwork is titled “Not Here” and his medium is spray paint. Martin recently exhibited at the Comm Center in Lakewood Ranch where he won a Merit Award. His teacher, Troy Schroeder, has a two-part acrylic diptych titled “Night Time at the Beach, Part 1 and Part 2”. He teaches the AICE program, Advanced International Certificate of Education .
