Anna Maria Island – During the March Art Walk on Anna Maria Island, watercolorist Sue Lynn Cotton will be the featured artist at the Artists’ Guild Gallery, 5414 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach. A reception will be held for her at the Gallery, Friday, March 14, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Also at 5:30, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Guild and the reopening of the Gallery which underwent a grand-scale renovation last fall. These events are open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
Sue Lynn Cotton worked as a commercial artist, illustrator and book designer in Dallas for many years before relocating to Florida eleven years ago. She continues to work full time at being a fine artist, painting originals and supplying prints for clients, preparing for her classes and updating her website weekly with new paintings and information. She teaches watercolor classes weekly at her studio, the AMI Community Center and Keeton’s as well as some special interest groups and private classes. She loves sharing her joy of putting wet paint on paper with anyone who wants to try it. Teaching keeps art from being a solitary activity.
