Anna Maria Island – Taking place on January 6th at 7:00pm at the Church of the Annunciation, the Artist’s Guild of Anna Maria Island is holding their first meeting of 2014.
Special guest Denise Kowal, founder of the Sarasota Chalk Festival, will be on hand to talk about what it takes to produce what is considered the largest contemporary pavement art festival in the world. Teaming up with Michael Coleman of the Pine Avenue Restoration Project, Denise is helping the community produce our very own chalk festival taking place Saturday January 18th and Sunday the 19th. Taking over three blocks of Pine Avenue, the first annual Anna Maria Chalk Festival will feature local and international artists, local musicians and more.
