Anna Maria Island Trolley – Chamber of Commerce Giving Back

If you’ve been to the Island before, then you probably have seen The Anna Maria Island trolley driving around. Available to ride free of charge, the trolley takes you from north to south across Anna Maria Island. On January 9th, the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce is holding an event to celebrate keeping the trolley free. While also recognizing local island non-profits.

  1. I have just returned from the above affair where our Chamber awarded $1500.00 checks to the twenty-four non profits on our island. As one of the recipients, I was truly honored to be included.

The Anna Maria Island Preservation Trust (AMIPT) has, for the past five years, strived to bring attention to the history of the island and the importance of the ground level buildings that set us apart from other Florida resorts. In that vein, I am pleased to announce that AMIPT will be awarding to the City of Anna Maria it’s second Florida State Marker for the “Island Playhouse” in the next week or so.

There are few things that can beat being supported and loved by members of your community. Sincerest thanks to all my Chamber friends.

    Sissy Quinn, President AMIPT
