Janice and Carl “Skinny” Freeman feel in love with this remote patch of sand on their honeymoon in the 1930s. Today, the screened-in watering hole on Anna Maria Island dishes scrumptious burgers- their trick is seasoning the grill- and beer in frosted mugs under walls packed with family photos. You can still find the 94 – year – old Janice sweeping behind the bar and hear stories of Old Florida from charming regulars.
