Located on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton and in operation for over 70 years, Council's Bradenton Recreation is hands-down the best burger in town. With a sign the predates McDonald's on the wall, a lack of proper lighting and an unfinished floor, the decor is minimalists to say the least. Your cook is tight lipped and focused on his food, but you'll be tight lipped once you start eating.
The only provide a few items, burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chili and chips. Beers are equally simple, with a small selection of domestic brews on tap and by the bottle. Make sure to ask for the secret sauce out of the fridge when you order your chili.
The burgers are so good you don't even get a plate, with the burger placed on a napkin and a toothpick stabbed through the top to hold it together. You owe it to yourself to check out Council's whether you're just visiting or call the area home.
