There are tennis courts just at the end of 62nd street in Holmes Beach. Actually the courts are just 6 homes from the Island Real Estate office. There are three public tennis courts and generally it is based on first come first serve. The fence is ample height to retain most errand tennis balls. One fabulous feature is the night lights that are activated by hitting a small button as you walk into the tennis court. The open tennis court overlooks one of several public boat docks on Anna Maria Island.
Go Legs is an indoor cycle studio located at 3549 53rd Ave. West, Bradenton, FL 34210 near IMG Academy, about 25 minutes off Anna Maria Island. The studio has a cool urban style, housing 20 LeMond Indoor spin bikes and 2 projectors which, you can watch during your ride. Each instructor has a different style but all have a great taste in music, playing either music videos or real cycle videos in the background. Lose yourself in the motivating music through a visionary ride up Mt. Rainer or real footage from the Tour de France.

Island Real Estate's team for Anna Maria Island Community Center's 2010 Soccer Season
Soccer season on Anna Maria Island has just begun, and the Island Real Estate team has started off their season with a bang! During Spirit Day on Saturday, the Island Real Estate team showed their colors and their pride, as they played hard in their two exhibition games. The Anna Maria Island Sun newspaper features shining examples of the World Cup sized talent our 6-7 year olds exhibit! Their season opener was another celebration last night, as they passed, kicked and scored their way to victory! Go Island Real Estate!
During the fall on Anna Maria, while the days are still warm, the sports heats up! On Wednesdays in Holmes Beach, there are even adult pick-up soccer games on the field behind the skate park. If you are more of a spectator, you can watch the grown-ups play on Thursday evenings in the Community Center league. Throughout the week, there are youth games for all ages, as well. Island Real Estate is proud to be a sponsor of the local sports teams at the Anna Maria Island Community Center. The Community Center offers fun for all ages. Pickleball, basketball, and tennis are all games you can join in during your stay. There are athletic programs for all seasons, and there are classes and facilities available to everyone on the Island. The Anna Maria Island Community Center is located on Magnolia Avenue in Anna Maria. There is a work out facility with all the latest equipment, a playground (with seats for parents, and a cover to block out the elements), there are tennis courts, and all sorts of ball fields. During your Anna Maria Island vacation, you can drop by and find out what classes they are offering and which fun activities you might want to participate in. Relax, your on an Anna Maria Island Vacation. Most relax on the beach but it is always a great time to get back in the “saddle” again to get your physical activity on the right track. Walking or jogging the beach is a favorite past-time but another option that most don’t consider is a personal trainer.
Anna Maria Island has one public basketball court located in Holmes Beach. The basketball court is located across from the tennis courts just at the end of 62nd street just East of Island Real Estate. It is a full basketball court fenced in so errand balls will remain in play. I have used the court several times and have never seen others playing on the court so having the court available is a fairly good bet.
Anna Maria Island boasts several large open areas and the public space in Holmes Beach is no exception. There is a very large open space just East of Marina Drive between 59th Street and 62nd Street very close to where Island Real Estate is located. In this area you will find the only baseball or softball diamond on Anna Maria Island.
